Terms of Service.

These Terms & Conditions govern purchases, custom project requests, orders, and use of the Lane Laser Co. website and services. By placing an order, approving a quote or project, or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Lane Laser Co. provides custom laser engraving and personalized products for individuals, businesses, organizations, events, and other customers. Because many of our products are made or personalized specifically for each customer, certain policies differ from those that apply to standard retail purchases.

Quotes, Pricing & Orders

Pricing for custom projects is based on the products, materials, quantity, personalization, artwork requirements, production needs, and other details of each order.

Quotes are based on the information provided at the time they are prepared. Changes to quantities, products, artwork, personalization, shipping requirements, deadlines, or other project specifications may require updated pricing.

Submitting a project request or receiving a quote does not obligate you to purchase. An order is considered confirmed only after the applicable project details have been approved and any required payment or deposit has been received.

Lane Laser Co. reserves the right to decline projects that cannot be completed safely, accurately, within the requested timeframe, or with the equipment and materials available.

Payments & Deposits

Payment requirements may vary depending on the size and nature of the project. Small or individual orders may require payment in full before production begins. Larger, bulk, or custom orders may require a deposit before materials are purchased or production begins.

Any required deposit, remaining balance, payment schedule, and applicable sales tax will be communicated as part of the quote or invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all outstanding balances must be paid before completed products are shipped, delivered, or released for pickup.

Lane Laser Co. will not purchase project-specific materials or begin production until any required initial payment or deposit has been received.

Customization & Proof Approval

Customers are responsible for reviewing all names, dates, spelling, numbers, logos, artwork, layout details, and other personalization information provided to Lane Laser Co.

When a digital proof is provided, production will not begin until the customer approves the proof. Approval confirms that the customer has reviewed and accepted the design, spelling, layout, and other details shown.

Lane Laser Co. is not responsible for errors contained in customer-provided information or in a proof that has been reviewed and approved by the customer.

If Lane Laser Co. makes an engraving or production error that differs from the approved design or agreed project specifications, we will work with the customer to make the order right.

Customer Artwork & Intellectual Property

Customers may provide logos, artwork, graphics, text, photographs, or other materials for use in a custom project. By submitting these materials to Lane Laser Co., the customer represents that they own the material or have the necessary permission or rights to use and reproduce it for the requested project.

Customers are responsible for obtaining any licenses, permissions, or authorizations required for copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected material they request to have reproduced or engraved.

Lane Laser Co. reserves the right to decline any artwork or project that we believe may infringe the intellectual property rights of another person or organization or that we otherwise determine is inappropriate for production.

Customer-provided artwork remains the property of its respective owner. Submission of artwork grants Lane Laser Co. permission to use, modify, resize, convert, or otherwise prepare the artwork as reasonably necessary to complete the requested project.

Customer-Supplied Items

Lane Laser Co. does not accept customer-supplied products, blanks, or other physical items for engraving.

All products and blanks used for Lane Laser Co. orders are sourced by Lane Laser Co. specifically for the project. This allows us to verify material compatibility, maintain consistent engraving quality, properly test production settings, and reduce the risk of damage to irreplaceable or unknown materials.

Customers are welcome to request a particular product, brand, style, color, or material. When possible, Lane Laser Co. can source the requested item or recommend an appropriate alternative.

Delivering or shipping an item to Lane Laser Co. without prior authorization does not create an obligation for Lane Laser Co. to engrave or otherwise modify the item.

Errors, Damage & Order Issues

Lane Laser Co. takes reasonable care to ensure that orders are produced according to the approved design and agreed project specifications.

If an order contains an engraving, personalization, or production error made by Lane Laser Co., please contact us promptly after receiving the order. We may request photographs or other information necessary to evaluate the issue.

When Lane Laser Co. determines that an error, defect, or damage is our responsibility, we will provide an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, reproduction, or refund of the affected item.

Lane Laser Co. is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information, artwork, spelling, dates, measurements, or other specifications provided or approved by the customer.

For orders damaged during shipping, customers should retain the product and packaging and contact Lane Laser Co. promptly. Photographs of the damaged product, packaging, and shipping materials may be required so that we can evaluate the issue and, when applicable, pursue a claim with the shipping carrier.

Customers should not discard damaged products or packaging until Lane Laser Co. has reviewed the issue.

Production & Turnaround Times

Production times vary depending on the product, quantity, customization requirements, material availability, and current workload.

Small and individual orders are typically completed within 3–5 business days after all required project details, artwork or proof approvals, and payments have been received. Larger, bulk, corporate, and event orders may require additional production time.

Any estimated completion or delivery date provided by Lane Laser Co. is based on the information and circumstances available at the time of the estimate. Changes to an order, delayed approvals, material availability, shipping carrier delays, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect the timeline.

If an order is needed by a specific date, the customer should provide that deadline before approving the project. Lane Laser Co. will confirm whether the requested timeline can be accommodated before the order is finalized.

Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

Because many Lane Laser Co. products are custom-made or personalized specifically for each customer, custom and personalized products are not eligible for return or refund once production has begun, except in cases of a defect or an error made by Lane Laser Co.

If you need to cancel an order, contact Lane Laser Co. as soon as possible. Orders canceled before materials have been purchased or production has begun may be eligible for a full refund.

If project-specific materials have already been purchased but engraving or production has not begun, any refund may be reduced by the cost of materials, non-refundable supplier charges, transaction fees, or other costs already incurred for the project.

Once engraving, personalization, or production has begun, the order cannot be canceled or refunded due to a change of mind, an incorrect customer-provided detail, or an error contained in an approved proof.

If Lane Laser Co. makes an error or a product arrives defective or damaged, please contact us promptly with details and photographs when applicable. We will review the issue and, when appropriate, repair, replace, reproduce, or otherwise work to resolve the problem.

Shipping, Delivery & Local Pickup

Lane Laser Co. offers local pickup in the McKinney, Texas area and shipping to addresses within the United States. International shipping is not currently available.

Shipping charges are based on the size and weight of the package, destination, carrier rates, and other applicable shipping costs. Shipping costs for custom and quote-based orders will be communicated before the order is finalized whenever reasonably possible.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Lane Laser Co. is not responsible for delays, additional charges, or delivery issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the customer.

Once an order has been shipped, tracking information will be provided when available. Delivery dates provided by shipping carriers are estimates, and Lane Laser Co. cannot guarantee carrier delivery times or be held responsible for delays caused by the carrier or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers selecting local pickup will be notified when their order is ready. Pickup arrangements should be coordinated with Lane Laser Co. before arrival.

Product Variations & Engraving Results

Because Lane Laser Co. works with a variety of natural and manufactured materials, minor variations in color, grain, texture, finish, engraving appearance, and positioning may occur between individual products.

Natural materials such as wood, leather, and slate may contain variations in grain, color, texture, thickness, or other characteristics. These natural differences are not considered defects.

Manufactured products may also have minor variations between production batches, colors, coatings, dimensions, or finishes. Engraving results can vary slightly based on these characteristics.

Lane Laser Co. takes reasonable care to produce consistent, high-quality engraving and to position designs accurately. Minor variations that are inherent to the material, manufacturing process, or custom engraving process are not considered production errors.

Product photos, samples, digital mockups, and proofs are intended to represent the expected finished product but may not perfectly reproduce the color, texture, scale, or appearance of the final physical item.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lane Laser Co. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of our products or services, including losses resulting from delayed delivery, missed events, lost profits, or other circumstances beyond the value of the affected order.

Lane Laser Co.’s total liability arising from a particular order, product, or service will not exceed the amount paid to Lane Laser Co. for the portion of the order giving rise to the claim, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising from the purchase of products or services from Lane Laser Co. will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws remain unaffected by these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

Lane Laser Co. may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, business practices, or applicable requirements.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The Terms in effect at the time an order is confirmed will apply to that order unless otherwise agreed in writing.
